Agri finance specialist Ifac boosts its board with former Ornua exec

Róisín Hennerty, new board role with Ifac.
Róisín Hennerty, former MD of Ornua’s global foods division, has been appointed to the board of Ifac.
She joins the accounting, tax and business advisory firm’s board as an independent non-executive director. Ifac has a team of 580 professionals, serving farming, food, agri-business and SME clients from its 30 offices nationwide.
Brendan Lawlor, chair of Ifac, said: "Róisín’s extensive experience, particularly in developing successful strategies within the agribusiness sector, is a tremendous asset to our board.”
AS CEO of Ornua’s global foods division, she led operations in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Róisín played a key role in growing Kerrygold’s retail sales to almost €2bn per annum, cementing its position as Ireland’s most successful food brand.
She joined Ornua in 1990 and has worked in a variety of senior roles since then, including market development manager, USA; VP for US consumer foods; president of Ornua Foods North and Latin America and CEO of Americas and global marketing director.

Across her various roles in Ornua, Róisín has acquired extensive business scaling and business transformation experience at a senior leadership level in the agribusiness sector.
She was named Irish Times/KPMG Businessperson of the Year in 2020.
She has board experience with Ornua, as well as Animal Health Ireland, American Butter Institute, Les Dames L’Escoffier International, and the Cheese Importers Association of America.
