2010 Week 1 Nfl Football Picks

The Las Vegas Hilton has posted their opening lines for the NFL footballs opening weekend. It’s early, and things might change before kick-off, but that logic applies to both teams – that said there looks like a very attractive Money Line (ML) NFL pick on opening day: Green Bay. The Packers open as 1 point underdogs on the road at Philadelphia. We think they can win this one outright, and should probably be favored. Consider that Green Bay was one of the leagues younger teams last season, the Pack had a prolific offense with a patchwork offensive line, and that line is coming in healthy with quality depth to start the 2010 season. The Packer defense is vastly underrated – they had the #1 rated NFL run defense and the #5 pass defense. Contrast that to the Eagles #9 rush defense and #17 pass defense – and you can see the Packers were superior on both sides of the ball. Here’s another little known NFL stat from 2009 – Green Bay led the NFL football league in picks. In the NFL football teams can change dramatically from year to year; however, the young Packers who made the playoffs last year are widely considered to be on the upswing, while the Eagles are looking to recapture playoff glory. The Eagles feature an offense that primarily likes to throw the football, with a young quarterback getting the nod on opening day against a pass defense that had more picks than any other team in the NFL last year…. We like Green Bay as a week one B-rated NFL football pick to outright win!

You Can Advertise Your Brand With Customized Mugs

Businesses tend to be tormented too much on what products to use in making their brand more preferred. Problem is, they are totally missing the plain questions that are imperative most of the time. In making showing items for your awareness, ask yourself “what items would my clients appreciate?” A good way to solve this difficulty is to go back to what your prospects do to relax, like watching their favorite football game for example. In this case, your ideal vending object would be promotional mugs and drinkware products right?

Mugs and drinkware products have a distinct edge of convenience to adapt to almost all situations. These items can be brought into play not only during football shows, but also during parties, conventions, and games. With this in mind, you will be able to progress your firm on any occasion conceivable.

Another advantage that customized mugs and drinkware products exhibit is their mixture. These items come in a very wide range of choices where you can tap your own promotional commodity. This will afford you enough elbow room to name what you think would be suited to meet your business’ marketing needs.

Wear Your Football Shirts With Pride For The World Cup

The 2010 World Cup is almost upon us. It kicks off June 11 with a game between the host country, South Africa, and Mexico. The championship game will be played on July 11. During the month between those two games, 32 teams will fight it out for the right to be called the best football team in the world. National pride will be at stake, and the teams will give it their all to do their country proud.

This is a historic World Cup. Never before has a World Cup been hosted on African soil. Nelson Mandela will be on hand for the opening and closing games of the tournament. Never before has a host team not made it into the second round. Unfortunately for South Africa, they are in a very tough group. The 32 teams are split into eight groups of four teams each. They all play each other, and the two teams that accrue the most points will advance into the second round. South Africa’s group includes two very tough teams in Mexico and France, so they will have a tall order in trying to advance.

England has a great chance in this World Cup. Their group includes the United States, Algeria, and Slovenia. Of the three, only the Yanks have any chance of giving England trouble. England should easily advance into the second round, and they have a very good shot of making a deep run into the tournament. Don’t be surprised to see them playing Brazil in the championship match. The United States will probably be the other team to advance from England’s group.

The 3-4 Defense – Coaching Youth Football

The 3-4 defense has been used with great success, especially with the Steelers in the NFL. I have used the 3-4 with 5 year-old flag players and 14 year-old travel tackle players as long as it has been modified for the level you are coaching.

Looking like the 5-4 defense, the 3-4 will confuse many coaches at the youth football level. A crucial component when installing a difficult defensive system, like the 3-4 defense, is making certain it has been adjusted to the level you are coaching. If you are coaching a young team you will not need any of the fancy blitz packages in the 3-4. The stunts, slants, blitzes and corner back schemes come in many varieties in the 3-4 defense. Many of these will have to be left out or tweaked in a big way if you want to use them at the pop warner level. The younger your players are in age, the less complicated you need to make it.

Every level, including flag, should use the defensive line slants. This devastating technique will have your defensive line messing up your opponent’s blocking schemes and they will not even realize you are doing it to them.

With the proper preparation, including a complete scouting report of your upcoming opponent, you should be able to use the slant to confuse the blocking schemes of your opponent. The beauty of the 3-4 defense is that you should be able to mess up your opponents entire offensive line using only three players. Hopefully you have scouted your opponent and have a good idea of the blocking styles he will attempt to use against your team. Using defensive line slants, you will be able to occupy all five of his offensive linemen with just your nose guard and two defensive tackles. When used properly, you will enjoy a two player advantage for the game. We show all the modifications for the defensive line slants and stunts in our youth 3-4 Defense Playbook.

Get Your Pub Ready For The World Cup

With just over a week until the start of the World Cup 2010, is your pub fully prepared? If not just follow this brief guide which will ensure you have everything ready in time for kick off.

Decorations are key for getting into the spirit. Putting up flags and banners on both the inside and outside of your pub will let customers know that they can watch the games here. Putting posters, buntings and balloons inside your premises will prepare the building for the celebrations and help get staff into the football mood.

You can never have too many televisions when the football’s on and you might even want to invest in a big screen. Having a designated area where the majority of supporters can sit and watch will free up space at the bar, which is a good way of ensuring that everyone gets served.
